How do I counter-sign a Dynamic File document on a caregiver's profile (e.g., reference forms, rate confirmations, or HR-completed pages)?
Counter-signing is the process by which agency staff add their signature or complete staff-only sections on a Dynamic File after a caregiver has submitted their portion. This is commonly needed for reference forms, rate confirmation pages, and documents with sections designated for HR or staff completion.
To request a counter-sign on a caregiver's Dynamic File:
1. Navigate to the caregiver's profile in Caregiver Management.
2. Locate the Dynamic File document that requires a counter-signature (e.g., Reference Form, rate page, or HR-completion page).
3. Open the document and look for the counter-sign option.
4. If you have the appropriate permissions (typically Admin or HR Admin), you can apply the counter-signature directly on the document.
Important notes:
- Some documents may already be counter-signed. Before submitting a request, check the document's status to confirm whether a counter-signature has already been applied.
- Counter-sign functionality is used when a Dynamic File requires multi-party signing — for example, the caregiver completes and signs their section, and then agency staff counter-sign to finalize the document.
- If you do not see the option to counter-sign a document, you may not have the required role permissions. Contact your agency Admin to verify your access level.
- If you are unable to counter-sign a document despite having the correct permissions, contact Bolt HC Support for assistance.
