How do I convert a PDF document into a signable Dynamic File in Bolt?

Dynamic Files & DocumentsDocument ManagementeDoc Suite/Dynamic FilesDocument Conversion to Dynamic File

Converting a standard PDF document into a signable Dynamic File (also known as a "signer document") requires processing by the Bolt support team using the PDF Engine. This conversion transforms your static PDF into an interactive, browser-based form that supports electronic signatures.

To request a conversion:

1. Navigate to the document you want converted — this may be within a caregiver profile (Caregiver Management) or a patient/case record (Case Management).

2. Submit a support request to Bolt indicating which document you need converted to a signable Dynamic File.

3. In your request, specify the signer roles needed for the document. For example:

- Single signer: e.g., Caregiver only

- Multiple signers (Counter-Sign): e.g., Signer 1 = Agency, Signer 2 = Patient; or Signer 1 = Agency, Signer 2 = Caregiver

4. If the document requires multiple signature fields, clearly indicate which signature areas correspond to which signer role (e.g., specify the page number or location of each signature line).

5. The Bolt support team will process the conversion and confirm when it is complete.

Important notes:

- Be as specific as possible about signer roles and signature placement. If the document has multiple signature lines, the support team may need clarification on which signer each line belongs to.

- Once converted, the Dynamic File will support electronic signatures and can be sent to caregivers, patients, or other parties for signing through Bolt's eDoc system or the Caregiver Portal.

- This conversion is a one-time setup per document template — once a document is converted, it can be reused as a signable Dynamic File going forward.
