How do I merge duplicate caregiver profiles by moving files from one profile to another and deleting the duplicate?
Currently, Bolt does not offer a self-service option to merge caregiver profiles or transfer files (including upload dates and uploader information) between profiles. This must be handled by the Bolt Support team.
To request a caregiver profile merge and file transfer, follow these steps:
1. Identify the duplicate profiles. Open both caregiver profiles in Bolt and note the profile URLs or caregiver IDs for each.
2. Determine the source and destination. Decide which profile contains the files you want to move (source) and which profile should be kept as the primary record (destination).
3. Submit a support request. Contact Bolt Support and include the following details:
- The URL or caregiver ID of the source profile (the one with files to move)
- The URL or caregiver ID of the destination profile (the one to keep)
- A request to transfer all files, including the original upload dates and uploader names
- Whether you want the source (duplicate) profile deleted after the transfer
4. Wait for confirmation. Bolt Support will process the request, typically within 1–2 business days, and confirm once the file transfer and deletion are complete.
Important notes:
- All file metadata (uploader name and upload date) is preserved during the transfer.
- Make sure you have verified that the two profiles belong to the same caregiver before requesting a merge to avoid data loss.
- Once the duplicate profile is deleted, it cannot be recovered, so double-check which profile should be removed.
